ETHICS AND RESPECT:  WE ACT !

Anchored in Jura region of Switzerland, G&F CHÂTELAIN is committed to making sustainable development and corporate social responsibility a priority.

To reduce environmental footprint, CHÂTELAIN recycles waste, and takes measures to control energy and supply chain consumption. We also promote the use of renewable energy: 20% of our electricity comes from our own solar production, the remaining amount is 100% renewable. CHÂTELAIN encourages employee initiatives aimed at reducing our carbon footprint.

CHÂTELAIN is very attentive as to the traceability and conformity of the raw materials used for our exceptional products while preserving natural resources, deploying the highest standards in the industry. To honor this commitment and the trust of our customers, our employees meet these standards, both at their workstations and in their daily behavior.

Diamonds and Gold

CHÂTELAIN is a certified member of the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC). We respect the RJC Code of Practices (COP), which sets the highest standards for responsible social, environmental and human rights practices throughout the chain.

Leather

The Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) regulates the trade of over 30’000 species of plants and animals between 150 countries around the world. CHÂTELAIN respects these ethical business practices and certifies the origin of the leather used in the manufacture of our products. Learn more about CITES

Recycling

Recycling is one of the important concerns of our company. To this end, we have established a strict policy for sorting waste paper, cardboard, glass, PET, etc. CHÂTELAIN mastery of manufacturing processes also allows recovering and recycling all production "consumables" such as leftover raw materials and oils.

We rationalize the use of energy and natural resources such as electricity and water. The habits of each employee contribute to respecting the environment.

Solar panels

Since 2018 about 20% of our electricity comes from our own production. 3'765 m2 of solar panels have been installed on the company’s rooftops and make G&F CHÂTELAIN one of the largest producers of green electricity in the Canton of Neuchâtel.
